Baloch and Pashtun Students of Quaid i Azam University Islamabad have announced to expand the level of their strike and take strong actions.
Addressing the Baloch-Pashtoon protesters in front of press club Islamabad, chairman Baloch Council QAU Kamran Baloch said they had tried every peaceful manner to make their voice listened and now they were left with no option, but to take their strike on the roads.
He said university administration and political leaders had requested the Baloch-Pashtun students to give them one week so that they could find a solution through negotiations and dialogues, but after a week they could not find a solution to the problem.
‘No development has surfaced with regard to the restoration of expelled students and now we will take to the roads and continue our strike till the fulfillment of the demand.’ Continued Chairman Baloch Council QAU.
He also thanked Pashtun students for the non-stop support. Pashtun Council has showed full support to the strike and pledged to remain the part of it till the end.
Pashtun council reiterated the commitment to stand by Baloch students till the restoration of expelled Baloch students.
Right after such announcements, the situation in the campus is tense and a large number of police and Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) has reached University.
