Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) has emphasized the need for establishing new libraries in Balochistan, particularly in Quetta.
Action committee’s delegation headed by general secretary Ghani Baloch called on tribal chief Haji Lashkari Raisani and secretary of Culture and Tourism Mr. Zafar Ali Buledi and discussed the issues relating to lack of libraries in Balochistan.
During the meeting, the delegation raised concerns over the non-availability of libraries and said in this era of technology Balochistan lacked very basic educational facilities like libraries.
“Being the provincial capital, students from all over Balochistan come to Quetta for study and libraries play a vital role in providing a conducive environment for education. But the students in Balochistan are made deprived of facilities.” Said BSAC spokesperson.
In this modern era it is compulsory to have libraries in universities, colleges and schools as libraries are the backbones of our educational system, but currently Quetta city has a single library which is unable to meet the requirements of students, continued spokesperson.
He urged the concerned authorities to establish new libraries in Balochistan, particularly in Quetta so that students could easily continue their studies without any hurdles.
