Criticizing the separatists, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has said the people demanding independence of Balochistan live in a fool’s paradise.
“Balochistan is now an integral part of Pakistan and no one can separate it from Pakistan,” he said on Friday while speaking to reporters after paying tribute to Quaid i Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
“Free Balochistan is not a popular slogan in the province. A handful of people living luxurious lives abroad are misguiding local Balochs for their own vested interest,” he added.
Bijenjo, who was flanked by his cabinet members, said some foreign elements were involved in creating unrest in the province. “Balochistan is future of Pakistan that is why these anti-state elements want to destabilise the country by creating problems in our province,” he added.
The CM, however, reaffirmed his government commitment to continue operation against the elements involved in insurgency and vowed to contain law and order situation in his province. “We need the support of the federal government and other provinces to wipe out terrorism from our province.”
Responding to a question about in-house change in Balochistan Assembly, he said it was a democratic transition where the assembly reposed trust in him. “I will not shatter the dream of these people and will work for betterment of the province as well this country,” he said.
When asked about former SSP Malir Rao Anwar, who reportedly has taken refuge in Sindh-Balochistan border, he said, “We will arrest Rao Anwar, if Sindh government approaches us for it,” he said.
