No one can deny the fact that water is very essential for every living thing. Every living organism needs water for survival. But it is very saddening that the industrial city Hub lacks potable water.
Scarcity of water in Hub city has escalated and no one seems to pay any heed on this delicate issue. People are constrained to drink unhealthy and insecure water which results fatal diseases.
According to The world health organization’s report approximately 3.4 million people die each year of waterborne diseases, such as diarrhoea, typhoid, hepatitis.
Indigenous of the city have no choice left but to relinquish to the tanker mafia and buy water tankers at extravagant prices, on the other hand poor people are not rich enough to buy costly water.
Therefore, the authorities concerned must address the core issue and increase water supply from Hub river so that the people have potable and sufficient enough water for drinking.
