Baloch Students Action Committee-Karachi University (BSAC-KU) organized a debate program on “New Face of Youth in Educational Development in Society,” at Criminology Department, University of Karachi.
Hina Baloch, Organizing Body Member of BSAC-KU, hosted the debate program.
The debaters of the program were Orangzaib Baloch, teacher of Students Preper Channel and Charter For Compassion Lyari, Karachi; Rashail Baloch, teacher Tekri Education Center Maripur, Karachi; Allah Bakhsh, teacher Tekri Education Center Maripur, Karachi and Huda Hair, teacher of Master Imam Bakhsh Memorial Library Malir, Karachi.
The program participants argued that there exists a bad concept about education in our society where education is just considered as a source of income. It is also a fact that income is an important factor for the daily living, but at the same time we shouldn’t be unaware of social welfare responsibility and our individual responsibility towards social development.
The debaters pointed out that until the members of society do not understand and pay their individual duty towards social development, till then our society will remain a heap of social problems which can be solved if given focus. Right to education is one of the basic rights of human being, but the gain of education has become one biggest issue due to many causes including poverty and lack of awareness about the importance of education in life.
Students are that educated part of society that can work for the educational development as education is the sole element of a developed society and a society cannot be prosperous until it is highly educated. An educated society can grow socially, economically and politically. Argued the debaters.
The participants urged the students to perform their duties in terms of social welfare in order to have a healthy society that would be able to participate in the progress of the society members.
