Turbat_ the second most populated city of Balochistan after Quetta_ faces tough times in the recent. In the city, a large number of robberies have been successfully operated by influential robbers.
Sadly, a few days earlier, a gang of robbers committed a shameful offense while entering in one of the houses in Dannuk (Turbat) with the intentions to rob_ maybe. When the robbers judged they were likely to fail as a woman (Malik Naaz) resisted, they shot and killed her. The lady died on the spot whereas her 4 year little daughter Bramsh got injured. Among them one thief was caught and handed to the police. Later on, police arrested the other two culprits involved in the incident.
The thieves confessed their whole offense and told the whole story of how they had planned and who were behind the series of robberies in the city besides this one.
On the very next morning, when the local people heard about death of Malik Naaz and her injured daughter, they all decided to stand against the robbers. The resistance stood up tall in whole Balochistan along with some other cities of other provinces where Baloch people reside or study.
They (Baloch people) have taken out multiple rallies in various cities as Turbat, Gwadar, Pasni, Panjgur, Quetta, Kharan, Washuk, Lyari (today), Dalbandin and many more. Every Baloch, right now, is supporting the little Bramsh and raising their voices to authorities to give justice to Bramsh.
On that day, Bramsh was admitted to the Karachi hospital where her operation was done. When Bramsh opened her eyes, she first called her mom_ who was, unfortunately, missing out there. It is heartbreaking!
Now the question arises, is it the failure of administration that despite knowing the real figures behind the robbery, they are tacit to the situations? Or should we blame the poor and weak people who have no right to fight for their own and are standing against wrongdoers? Why does not it sound important for the government whether or not the poor people suffer?
On the other side, the parties in opposition are also participating to stand with the victim family and demand justice for them. But how do we believe they are not doing it for the promotion of their party but to giving justice to Bramsh and her martyred mother?
Thankfully, youth groups are highlighting the issue in the social media. We know it is very rare to give justice to Bramsh from social media, but at least we can send a message to the culprits that their time is gone. However, we still have a ray of hope that the social media may_ literally may_ be a sort of step to helping the victims of Dannuk incident to getting justice. Because it is not just injustice with only victim family, but also the safety and security of other families and their rights.
Unluckily, the Pakistani Media did not bring the saddening incident of Dannuk to their screens, but used Bramsh Baloch’s picture by calling her a victim from Rawalpindi and of eight years who was killed. She was named Zohra Shah instead of Bramsh. If the Pakistani Media cannot broadcast the issues of Balochistan, they, too, no rights to use the pictures of Baloch people showing them to other provinces.
All in all, the heartbreaking incident left a fear of how unsafe our families and properties are form such robbers in the province. If in this very challenging time our representatives do not pay heed to our worrisome, we expect nothing else from them.
Secondly, actions must be taken against all those Pakistani medias for false reporting by mixing up the case of Bramsh Baloch with Zohra Shah of Rawalpindi.
They say there exists laws in the State, let us all see how far will the laws go to provide justice to Bramsh. We demand total justice. Justice for Bramsh, Justice for martyred Malik Naaz and Justice for all citizens.
We demand the safety of our fundamental rights. We demand the safety of the laws. We demand to live a safe and peaceful life. We demand #JusticeForBramsh
