The camp was set up in Oxford Grammar High School Absor, football chowk campus.
Irshad Arif, the founder of Kech Blood Bank said that the sole purpose of managing this blood camp was to collect enough bloods for the thalassemia patients who come from different villages of Kech to Civil hospital Turbat.
While talking to The Baloch News Arif said, “I have seen families of thalassemia patients vociferating for blood for days since they come from far-flung areas having no strong terms with the people of the city. They belong to us. If we do not come forward to help them, who else would do it for us?”
The district has a total number of 290 registered thalassemia patients currently, Only 122 patients of thalassemia are registered with Kech Blood Bank (the number is increasing) and rest are either with other functioning blood banks or they bring donors with themselves.” Mr. Arif tells.
To bring into your notice, Kech Blood Bank has been functioning in Turbat for last six months and continuously donating blood to the thalassemia patients. In this duration, the team has donated bloods to different patients of thalassemia freely and timely.
