Recently Higher Education Commission has announced for the online classes in the universities as an alternative to maintain the education in this pandemic situations of Covid-19. However, different protests have taken place_ particularly in Balochistan_ where Internet is a question mark.
We, the students of Balochistan, are not against online classes, but we are against indolent system including substandard policies of HEC in Balochistan. They are unacceptable.
A reasonable question has to be recognized that how a student will be able to attend online classes when internet is not available? If they manage to get to PTCL internet, how about electricity and the slowness of the internet?
The students here in Balochistan are already victimized with a number of issues. Online classes system even enhances their troubles. But who do we have to care for the affairs of Baloch students?
The students, out of Balochistan, have been receiving massive packages and laptops in order to attend online classes in easiest way, but there has been unleashed disappointment for youths of Balochistan.
Regime of actual students are demanding a solution of the online classes and availability of internet in most of the districts in Balochistan which has resulted in awkward outcomes. As the demand is so simple to be fulfilled, students are suffering from series of ignorance and humiliation from authorities.
Higher Education Commission, with other superior authorities, reveal less attention and possess little interest towards this regard. The laws and lawmakers in the province have been dummy since the occurrence of the news that students are merged and protesting against online classes and against the policies of HEC.
Protests are being organized in overall Balochistan for the restoration of internet and fundamental needs that relate to attending online classes. Simply, HEC has to provide the students with basic necessities, then there may arise chances of associating with online classes.
We, therefore, demand the government with other concerned authorities for forthwith solutions of internet for the students of Balochistan as soon as possible. Because, without internet accessing to online classes is an impossible phenomenon.
