A glance at Global Health crisis

Global health is getting affected by a number of issues including the malnutrition. As now we are in the middle of the global Covid-19 pandemic, which has infected about 38 million people worldwide. However, in the last couple of decades, the mainstreamed discussions on global health have been related to communicable diseases like hepatitis, cholera, malaria, tuberculosis and HIV.

To decrease the transferable diseases worldwide, the citizens hope to get clean water and hygienic environment. Teaching good hygienic practices is still beneficial; the importance of good nutritional education and preventing personal harm should be emphasized. For example, explaining the dangers of a sugary diet, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking tobacco, using unsafe cooking fuels, driving recklessly, and walking across a busy highway are imperative.

Since, many low income countries lack emergency-response resources. This means that providing opportunities for communal members to learn first aid skills can help to save lives. But now while the focus of global healthcare community has shifted to non-communicable diseases, it remains a burden in low income settings.
Communicable diseases are still responsible for 71% of deaths and low income countries are most severely affected.

Global health, in fact, plays a crucial role in global security. As the world and its economies are getting increasingly globalized including extensive international travels and commerce, it is necessary to think about health in a global context. Rarely a week goes by without a headline about emergence_ or re-emergence_ of an infectious disease or other health threat somewhere in the world.

Each city, worldwide, needs projects to promote health and wellness through education, but do not involve any hand on or diagnostic medical work. During projects the conduction of workshops with students and communal members is essential to teach everyone about preventive healthcare practices. This involves WASH [Water And Sanitation for Health] classes, where the importance of washing hands and as well a healthy cooking and eating workshops are to be focused.

They are only possible when the government puts forward its hands to support legally, morally, financially and ethically the practices to maintain good health conditions in Pakistan. Hence, we look forward to getting the support from health authorities here in our state, which would help other low-income countries to overcome in one or the other way.
